Ask Dad

Why

So many people, like myself, no longer have dads around to get advice from. The goal of this blog is simply to provide compassionate, wise, and timely advice from a fatherly perspective. While I am a professional, all of my answers will be solely as a Dad.

A heads up on Dad’s advice:

-No one knows everything, I’m no different

-If I don’t know an answer, I’ll be honest

-Since I’m a regular Dad with a job, please be patient with my replies

-No question is off limits

-I really do care. Really

About Me

I’m 52 years old, an author and pastor, and someone who has been giving advice for many years. I was raised in three broken homes by the time I was fifteen. All three of my fathers left, never to return. I know what it’s like not having a father around when you really need one. I’ve been married to the most wonderful woman in the world for almost 30 years, and have three grown children. Being their Dad is such a blast, even when it’s hard. I was fortunate enough to be around some great dads, and though they weren’t mine, I learned a lot from them. One of my children suggested I start this blog, so it wasn’t my own idea, but hopefully it was a good one.
